Industry-leading electronic manufacturing services

Short statement about the service here
Colorful gradient

Throughout the various prototyping stages, through construction of test rigs and other ancillary equipment and even up to small-volume production, manufacturing can play a vital role in the product development journey.

Alongside our consulting and design services, we also offer a number of manufacturing services, focusing on electronics prototyping and small-volume manufacturing.

Combined with our electronics design knowledge, we are a one-stop shop for many of these services. We are also able to convert prototypes into volume manufacturable products, as well as providing diagnostic and testing services for fault-finding in electronics assembly.

With years of experience behind us, we’ll quickly move your idea from concept to reality.

PCB Services
BLS is a unique, one-stop shop for all your PCB needs. Our engineers provide a full range of PCB design services from schematic capture and layout, through to manufacture, assembly and testing.

We have designed PCBs from very basic one- and two-layer boards through to complex 6+ layer boards for applications including high voltage and radio transmission. We have extensive knowledge of designing PCBs to reduce EMC issues and for complex regulatory environments such as ATEX/IECEx. We are also able to design PCBs to meet your mechanical requirements and include the correct mounting features.

Our skilled PCB designers work closely with industrial designers to ensure that the final assembly is mounted into its housing, checking for mechanical clashes that might occur. During this process, we are able to generate 3D files that can be imported into tools such as SolidWorks to allow you to visualise what the final product might look like.
Electrical Services
Our experienced consultants are fully qualified to the latest version of BS 7671. This means we are able to offer a range of electrical services, including:
- Single line diagrams
- Wiring sizing and calculations
- Technical file creation
- Safety case assessment
- Box build services

Xray Inspection
As components get smaller and more complex, xray inspection is fast becoming an invaluable tool.

A non-destructive test, xray inspection enables you to check that fine-pitch BGA components have soldered correctly, or that your multi-layer PCB has been assembled correctly.

Of course, the power of xray extends beyond just checking PCBs. It can also be used to look deep inside mechanical parts for defects or potential problems. With 0.1 µm feature recognition, even the smallest cracks or deformations can be detected. This can be invaluable if a product or component is failing, but you’re unable to identify what might be causing it or you can’t open the component up with damaging the internal features.

Xray can also use µCT to take slices through the device and look deeper into what might be happening inside complex structures.

"Our team combines design and manufacturing expertise to bring electronic prototypes to life, focusing on precision, quality, and reliable outcomes at every stage."
